Europe’s Most Extraordinary Castles

The first castles ever built was said to have been in England right after the Norman Conquest in 1066 and introduced by William the Conqueror of France during an invasion. One of the biggest castle of more than 13 acres introduced by William the Conqueror and currently located in England is the Windsor Castle functions as a palace residence to a royal British household and a favorite weekend getaway home for the Queen.

The Windsor Castle may be the biggest in England, but the Prague Castle is the largest in the world located in the Czech Republic. This ancient castle was noticed and put recorded into the Guiness Book of World Records occupying 70,000 square meters.
